Virtually all of the countries of the region are covered, including Morocco, Spanish Morocco, Libya, Tunisia, Algeria, Egypt, Palestine, Jordan, Syria, Lebanon, Turkey (Ottoman and modern), Iraq, Iran, Arabia.

 

Some of the collections cover a number of different countries and are shown under a section marked General.There are also sections on Medieval (Crusades, Moorish Invasions) and Ancient, as well as Women’s and Children’s Studies and Art and Architecture.

 

Collection strengths include Islam and Christian interface in the region as well as colonial history and foreign occupation.
