PHPC 062A military album of an unnamed soldier with the King's Own who was stationed in India, mainly Lucknow, between 1908-1913. There are 104 photos including large full page photos of military class shots. All photos in India are described and author is shown as 'self'. There are about 5 or 6 full page class photos which were taken either in India or when he had his basic training in the UK. Nice shots of the 8th Rajput and 74th Punjabi regiments in field training, School of Musketry at Pachmarhi, King's Own maxim battery, Kashmir hunting trip, etc. It follows his life from officer training to landing in India right through to his voyage home aboard the HT Plassey November 1913. B

MOB 1363 photos relating to famed Seventh Day Adventist missionaries Elders Shaw and Enoch in India. One talks about the place they are staying with Eld. Enoch; one talks about their ride on Rickshaw that costs 50 cents a day; and the other is their family portrait....one mentions Eld. Shaw; who may be the husband. M
