Broadside outlining the duties of females in the Volunteer Auxillary Services. It reads: Duties of the Volunteer in the Auxiliary Service. Membership in the Female Auxiliary Service must be a reason for pride and an example of dignity. The auxiliaries are therefore reminded to strictly observe the rules that regulate their behavior in and out of services. The voluntary choice made by them of the way of honor must be the viaticum that accompanies them in facing the sacrifices, which are a guarantee of sure will and unshakable certainty. It goes on to list specific duties in the area of Discipline, Equipment, Hygiene, Service and Demeanor and Morale. B

Manuscript letter written by Lady Constance Milnes Glaskett on June 5, 1939 from Marlborough House, to Cedric Jackson in Port Dalhousie, Ontario. She is thanking him for a poem he sent and recalls Queen Mary’s visit it Canada and that she is currently recovering from an automobile accident. B

Note: Lady Constance Harriet Stuart Milnes Gaskell, DCVO (née Knox; 21 April 1885 – 29 April 1964) was a Woman of the Bedchamber to Queen Mary from 1937–53 and Lady-in-Waiting to Princess Marina, Duchess of Kent from 1953–60. Lady Constance was the second daughter of Constance (née Caulfeild) and the 5th Earl of Ranfurly, who was later Governor of New Zealand from 1897–1904. On 7 November 1905, she married Maj. Evelyn Milnes Gaskell, a son of Rt. Hon. Charles Milnes Gaskell. Lady Constance Milnes Gaskell died in 1964, eight days after her 79th birthday.
