Italian propaganda map produced in Illustrazione del Popolo during the height of British condemnation of Italian aggression in Ethiopia. Titled “Magna Carta of British Robberies”, it shows chains of slavery linking the British Empire. The text reads: England, having become the champion of Ethiopian barbarism in Geneva and obstinate denying the right to civilization claimed by Italy, has perhaps forgotten how its immense colonial empire arose? Today it claims to set itself up as the wash-out of peoples, which has always disregarded and despised every most elementary sense of humanity and conscience. The map we publish indicates the bloody stages through which Great Britain managed to enslave the world. The Duce was the first of the statesmen to revolt against the tyrannical English imposition. (Our AO victory proves quite successful). The numbers mark the conquered territories in chronological succession. There are then mostly derogatory comments on each of the 42 countries shown. B SOLD
